Using reclaimed rubber to produce rubber products, the rubber material is soft and sticky during mixing. What is the reason for this? In fact, the reclaimed rubber material inMixing rubberThe quality is related to the roller temperature of the rubber mixing machine. Reasonable control of the roller temperature is very important for improving the quality of reclaimed rubber products and increasing the yield.
Generally speaking, when mixing reclaimed rubber, if the roller temperature is too high, the reclaimed rubber material will become softer as the temperature rises, which is the phenomenon of reclaimed rubber being too soft and sticky as mentioned by the customer.Mixing rubberAt the same time, the mechanical force acting on the reclaimed rubber material will decrease, leading to reduced production efficiency. You might say that if the production requires high viscosity and plasticity for the reclaimed rubber products, can the roller temperature be increased? Actually, this is also incorrect. The reclaimed rubber mixing material obtained at high roller temperatures will gradually harden as the temperature decreases; the soft and sticky state is only a temporary illusion.
In actual production, the lower the roller temperature, the better the mixing effect. This is because at lower roller temperatures, reclaimed rubber, like other natural and synthetic rubbers, has greater elasticity and experiences greater mechanical force.Mixing rubberNaturally, the quality improves. However, similarly, if the roller temperature is too low, it will increase the power consumption during the production of reclaimed rubber mixing and may even shorten the equipment's lifespan.
As the saying goes, "too much is as bad as not enough." Whether the roller temperature is too high or too low during the mixing of reclaimed rubber can lead to undesirable outcomes. Therefore, strictly controlling the roller temperature is very important for improving the mixing effect: firstly, there is a difference between the front and rear roller temperatures during the mixing of reclaimed rubber. Some reclaimed rubber materials require the front roller temperature to be higher than the rear roller temperature. There are also some reclaimed rubber products that require the rear roller temperature to be higher than the front roller temperature. Different types of reclaimed rubber, such as latex reclaimed rubber and butyl reclaimed rubber, have different roller temperatures during mixing. For reclaimed rubber materials like butyl reclaimed rubber, EPDM reclaimed rubber, and nitrile reclaimed rubber, which generate a lot of heat during mixing, sufficient cooling is required. Reclaimed rubber manufacturers should choose appropriate cooling methods based on their own conditions.
