The formulation of rubber raw materials can be divided into three basic processes.

1. Plasticizing: Plasticizing is the process of cutting the raw rubber and making it plastic and uniform, which helps in the mixing operation of the compounding agents. Its effect is to improve the dispersion of the chemicals and prevent the generation of friction heat during the operation, which can cause scorching of the rubber, thereby altering the processability of the rubber. 2. Mixing: Mixing is the process of evenly incorporating the compounding agents into the plasticized raw rubber, and the quality of the mixing directly affects the quality of the final product. If the dispersion of the chemicals is uneven and the molecular structure cannot be fully cross-linked, the rubber will not achieve the desired physical properties. 3. Extrusion: The plasticized raw rubber, after the mixing process, undergoes extrusion to expel the excess air contained in the rubber material and to achieve the required thickness, facilitating the molding operation within the mold. We have already discussed a lot about the production process of mixed rubber and the issues that need to be noted during production. So why is it necessary to mix and plasticize the rubber material in rubber production? The main purpose of mixing the rubber material is to ensure that the physical and mechanical performance indicators of the product are consistent, meeting the performance indicators required by the production formula, to ensure process operation and guarantee the quality of the finished product. Plasticizing is the process of changing the plastic state of the rubber. So what factors can affect the mixing of rubber in a internal mixer? The internal mixer for mixed rubber manufacturers performs plasticizing of raw rubber at high temperatures. During this process, the temperature must be kept above 120 degrees Celsius, but is usually controlled between 155 degrees Celsius and 165 degrees Celsius. The raw rubber in the chamber of the internal mixer undergoes intense oxidation under high temperature and strong mechanical action, allowing the plasticity of the rubber to reach the standard in a short time.
